Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Account details you give us (name, surname, email, optional phone), the training content you create in the app (clients, plans, sessions, logs, body weight and daily entries, client photographs, and any medical analyses you upload for a client), what you put in your shop (its text, photographs, products and prices), and basic technical data such as device type and app version. We also record which screens you open in the app and when — the screen’s name and the moment, and nothing about the client you were looking at.
2. How we use it
To run your account, sync your training data between the web and the app, process your subscription, answer support requests, and improve the product — the record of which screens you open is what tells us which parts of Gainsei are actually used, so we know where to spend our time. We do not sell your data and we do not use training data for advertising.
3. Payments
Card details are collected and stored by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. Gainsei never sees or stores your card number. Lemon Squeezy processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
4. Client data, and your role
When you add a client, you are the controller of their personal data and Gainsei acts as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record their information — including body weight, injuries, notes, photographs and any medical analyses you upload — and for telling them you hold it.
4a. Medical documents
If you upload a client’s medical analyses, those are health data and need that client’s explicit consent, given before you upload them and recorded by you. Gainsei stores the files for you in a private bucket, and only you can open them; links are signed for a few minutes at a time and are never public. Do not upload anybody else’s documents, and do not upload a client’s without asking them first.
4b. If you buy from a trainer’s shop
When you place an order on a trainer’s shop page we record your name, phone number, email if you give one, delivery address if the order needs one, and what you ordered. That order is shown to the trainer so they can fulfil it. The trainer is the seller and the controller of that information; Gainsei provides the software and stores it for them.
5. Storage and retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account deletes it immediately and irreversibly — your profile, clients, plans, sessions, logs, weight history, client photographs, uploaded analyses and your whole shop all go, and there is no recovery window. Your data is stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
6. Your rights
You can access and correct your data at any time in the app, and delete all of it from Settings → Account → Delete account. For anything else, including a copy of your data, write to support@gainsei.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6a. Writing a diet with the model
If you ask Gainsei to draft a diet, the description you type is sent to Anthropic, which returns the week of meals. Only your brief is sent — no client name, no client data, nothing else from your account — and the draft is not saved anywhere until you keep it.
7. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and the app uses no advertising identifiers. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party, so simply opening a page does not report you to anyone. A shop keeps your cart in your own browser’s storage so it survives a reload; it never leaves your device until you place the order. The app records which of its own screens you open, under your account and on our own servers — that is not an advertising identifier, no third-party analytics service is involved, and it is never shared.
